You can also find activity packs on all our subject on our Activities page. Here you can download FREE and paid for resources. All the activities are tailored to the subject. For example you can learn how to build your own biome in our Environments Pack or re- create the layers of the ocean in a jar in our Oceans & Seas Pack.

Each Activity Pack comes with 6-8 fun filled sheets with a new and exciting task or game to complete. Kids will love the extension to learning and they each complement perfectly to our subject pages.
There are also lots of brain-teasing quizzes to be found online. Test your pupils knowledge on the world's continents, countries and environments.

We encourage children to pause quizzes if they don't know an answer and refer back to the subject pages. We feel it's about the journey of learning rather than a test.
Our Geography resources have be carefully created to fit the UK National Curriculum for both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. We are always looking to expand our subject range and hope to include lot's more to our platform in the near future. The following areas of study, taken from the Geography National Curriculum, are covered throughout our platform:
KEY STAGE 1

Locational Knowledge
• Name and locate the world’s seven continents and five oceans.
​
​
Human and physical geography
• Identify... the location of hot and cold areas of the world in relation to the Equator and the North and South Poles.
• Use simple compass directions (North, South, East and West) and locational and directional language [for example, near and far; left and right], to describe the location of features and routes on a map. (Coming late 2019)

KEY STAGE 2
​
Locational Knowledge
• Locate the world’s countries, using maps to focus on Europe (including the location of Russia) and North and South America, concentrating on their environmental regions, key physical and human characteristics, countries, and major cities.
​
• Identify the position and significance of latitude, longitude, Equator, Northern Hemisphere, Southern Hemisphere, the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, Arctic and Antarctic Circle.
​

Place Knowledge
• Understand geographical similarities and differences through the study of human and physical geography of a region of the United Kingdom, a region in a European country, and a region within North or South America.

Human and physical geography
​
• Describe and understand key aspects of:
• Physical geography, including: climate zones, biomes.
• Human geography

​
Geographical skills and fieldwork
​
• Use maps, atlases, globes and digital/computer mapping to locate countries and describe features studied.
​
• Use the eight points of a compass, four and six-figure grid references, symbols and key (including the use of Ordnance Survey maps) to build their knowledge of the United Kingdom and the wider world. (Coming late 2019)
